Apparently, these calls cause infection of the devices and theft of the data, at the moment in which it is answered
WhatsApp has become the target of all hackers, due to the popularity it has achieved in recent years. And, the large number of users it owns makes it the most attractive application for cyber criminals who want to get as much information as possible, through their attacks. The data obtained are then used to extort or to launch fraudulent advertising.
The last case that has been heard is a new attack consisting of receiving calls with the same number as the recipient through WhatsApp calls. A strange fact that is being denounced in the networks, with the following warning message:
“They’re hacking the phones. They mark you on your cell phone and appear the same number; and if you answer they have all your phone files, and then they extort you. Urgent switch to contacts, do not answer a call that has your number. ”
Apparently, these calls cause infection of the devices and theft of the data, at the moment it is answered. Given this information, it is advisable not to answer calls that come from the number itself, to avoid the theft of data and files that endangers the privacy of users.
